Differentiation between lung M2-PK and tumor M2-PK
The M2-PK isoenzyme found in lung tissues is always tetrameric.
The M2-PK isoenzyme found in tumor cells is mainly dimeric.
Therefore, the dimeric form of M2-PK has been termed tumor M2-PK.
