The pp60^v-src kinase is the transforming principle of the Rous Sarcoma Virus. The pp60^v-src kinase, a protein with a molecular weight of 60 kDa, is phosphorylated in serine and has tyrosine kinase specific activity. One of the substrates of the pp60^v-src kinase is M2-PK (PKM2).
